Our MISSION at Giant Rock
Located outside Landers, CA, once considered the world’s largest free-standing boulder, many are drawn to the sublime awe of the sacred Mother Stone, yet she suffers destruction, debris and desecration.
With Indigenous guidance, our Stories and Stewardship program protects Giant Rock through education, engagement and public art installation, sharing a regard for our common space, flora, fauna on Mother Earth while creating a safe outdoor experience for all visitors from down the street and across the globe.
A popular destination, our events coincide with international off-roading race King of the Hammers, the nation's largest annual UFO and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) conference, Contact in the Desert and National Public Lands Day.
